Barbee Farms (part of T & A Barbee Family Farm, LLC) was formed in 2008. The family has deep roots in agriculture. Barbee Farms is honored to be a North Carolina Century Farm for continuous farming of more than 100 years. Brent, family member and farm manager, is a sixth generation farmer on this farm. We graduated from a small table at the market to multiple weekly farmers’ markets, a farm stand, restaurant and grocery store business, and participation in multi-farm CSAs plus one exclusively from our farm. Our family is extremely dedicated to this farm with everyone lending a hand to better our commitment of supplying a quality and safe product.
Featuring a variety of nutrient rich grains such as: quinoa, amaranth, buckwheat, and whole wheat, to name a few. There is no other pizzeria in the world making anything like this. We know that even though most people want to eat healthy foods, they won’t do so unless they also taste great. Sprouting the grains before they are dried and milled into flour brings out the fullest flavor inherent in them, and also maximizes their nutritional and digestive value. This flour is sprouted and milled in NC by a proprietary method that produces, in our opinion, the absolute best tasting 100% whole grain dough possible. We think that sprouted whole grain flour represents the next frontier in baking.

NoDa Brewing Company was founded on a culture of homebrewing. In fact, our two chief brew masters cut their teeth in the Carolina Brewmasters, one of the oldest homebrewing clubs in America. Whether it’s ultra small-batch beers or full-production, year-round brews, we approach every batch the same—with the highest standards and the ultimate attention to detail. It’s a sign of our respect for you. We hope you enjoy our beers as much as we have enjoyed making them. So however you say it, “Cheers!” From NoDa.
In 2007, Charlotte was one of the last big cities in the country without its own brewery. Breweries had come and gone over the years, but none had been able to overthrow the tyrannical reign of the King of Beers. However, as Charlotte continued to grow, new residents from around the States and Europe started to change Charlotte’s beer culture. One of those transplants was OMB’s eventual founder, John Marrino, who came from Boston.
